‘One’ big charity challenge!

It was with great regret that this year’s ‘500 mile canoeing’ charity challenge back in September was abandoned due to dangerous conditions. However that didn’t deter the team and in the true spirit of One, colleagues quickly pulled together and devised an alternative challenge for the weekend…a 26 mile ‘Bike and Hike’ marathon!

We’re pleased to tell you that all nineteen participants successfully completed the gruelling challenge, and raised over £2000 for Macmillan Cancer Support, the Elisabeth Svendson Trust and Cancer Research UK.

Colleagues in One are certainly not shy when it comes to a challenge! Previous charity events have included the 3 peaks 24 hour challenge, Coast-to-Coast (C2C) cycle ride, the London Marathon and the 3000ft challenge. Over £8,000.00 has been raised to date with Guide Dogs for the Blind, Kidz in Urgent Need and the British Heart Foundation all benefitting.
