One Creative Environments Ltd. (One) is looking forward to BIM Show Live 2018, one of the UK’s leading BIM focused annual events.
The two-day conference, which takes place next week (28 February and 1 March 2018) in Newcastle ‘brings digital construction to life’ and promises to wow delegates with details of emerging technologies and new ideas as well as providing an excellent networking opportunity.
As well as being one of the sponsors, One’s Director, Jason Whittall, is presenting as part of the main programme and has also been shortlisted for The Rob Jackson OpenBIM award – a prestigious award that recognises an individual’s contribution to the BIM sector.
One is an integrated building design business with a dynamic multi-disciplinary team comprising masterplanning, architecture, landscape architecture, civil and structural engineering and building services working together at the forefront of Building Information Modelling (BIM) – the future of intelligent design.
Jason, who is Chair of the West Midlands BIM Region and was one of the first in the UK to achieve the RICS BIM Manager certification, has led the company’s BIM offering from strength to strength over many years, and most recently achieving the BRE BIM Level 2 Business Systems Certification.
Utilising BIM brings a huge number of benefits to all stages of projects, for example: it allows the client/user team to become more involved in the building project and make better informed decisions earlier in the process, it allows more accurate data capture during the critical construction stages where data is traditionally lost, it allows any potential construction issues to be identified and addressed before any work on site and has significant benefits for facilities management.
No stranger to presenting, Jason shared his expertise recently at RIBA’s BIM in Birmingham conference in January 2018, and at former events on BIM such as Offsite Construction, and BIM Prospects. At BIM Show Live 2018, he will provide details of how in his experience BIM technology can provide better information reuse for facilities management, including the usage of data contained within BIM models to generate PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) schedules for operators, so that intelligent decisions can be made to achieve the best value when scheduling resources and maintenance works.
Jason Whittall, Director of One Creative Environments Ltd., said: “As a company we are early adopters of technology including Building Information Modelling (BIM). As a result, I am pleased to say that our multi-disciplinary team at One has been working in a BIM environment for many years resulting in a unified and collaborative approach to building design that saves our clients’ valuable time, money and resources. Most recently we are proud to have achieved our external BIM Level 2 accreditation from the BRE that assures our clients that we are competent and capable of delivering projects to BIM Level 2, aligned with the UK BIM Standard PAS1192-2”
“I am honoured to be recognised as a finalist in the BIM Show Live 2018 awards and am looking forward to presenting at the show as well as showcasing some of our best examples relating to BIM deliverables that we are currently involved with on projects.”
