Structural works have begun on site for a new medical centre in the heart of Hereford. The design teams at One have been appointed to provide multi-disciplinary design services and are working alongside construction company, Speller Metcalfe, specialist healthcare developers’ Prime plc and the NHS Herefordshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG).
The newly designed, highly sustainable and energy efficient building, will provide a modern and inviting healthcare environment for patients who currently access their GP services through five other city practices. Once complete, patients will be able to access services under one roof offering a full range of primary care services for the community.
The centre is due to be completed in Autumn 2020.
Abz Randera, Architect of One Creative Environments Ltd., said: “Great to see the building take it’s form on the site. The benefits of a multi-disciplinary approach to design really starts to manifest itself at this stage of the project. Can’t wait to see the building open and serving the people of Hereford in 2020.”
