Project Overview

ONE was commissioned by Vanguard to deliver a fast-track, high-spec healthcare facility.

The hospital facility contains four operating theatres, an eight-bay recovery ward, a six-bay recovery ward, a reception and waiting area, consultation rooms, staff welfare and changing facilities, as well as dedicated storage areas. Designed and delivered on a fast-track program, the entire project was completed in just nine weeks from start to finish using modern methods of construction.

A strong focus was placed on sustainability and operational efficiency by repurposing as many existing components as possible, minimising waste, reducing costs, and significantly shortening lead times.

The project faced a few challenges, including a short nine-week delivery timeframe, a constrained site, and the complexities of working within a live hospital environment. These were overcome through fast-tracked design and construction processes, efficient logistics planning, and just-in-time material deliveries to manage limited space. Strict infection control measures and close coordination with hospital staff ensured that construction activities did not disrupt ongoing clinical operations, maintaining patient safety and service continuity throughout.
