Are you an experienced Landscape Architect ready to take a leading role in delivering inspiring, sustainable and technically robust places?

We are looking for a talented Senior Landscape Architect to join our growing Landscape Architecture team and play a key role in shaping projects from initial concept through to construction and completion as part of our award winning multi-disciplinary team.

This is an opportunity for an ambitious and experienced professional to combine creative design thinking with technical leadership. You’ll lead defined elements of projects, coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, oversee design quality and help develop the next generation of landscape professionals.

The Role

As a Senior Landscape Architect reporting directly to the teams Design Director, you’ll be a trusted and influential member of the ONE team, working closely with Associate Landscape Architects, Design Directors, clients and internal / external consultants to deliver high-quality landscape design solutions in the UK and overseas.

You’ll take ownership of your allocated projects providing leadership throughout the design and delivery process. From developing creative concepts and coordinating technical information to attending site and leading discussions with clients and consultants, you’ll have the opportunity to make a genuine impact on the quality and success of our work.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading defined elements of landscape architecture projects from concept through to delivery
• Developing and overseeing creative design proposals and detailed design outputs
• Reviewing and coordinating drawings, specifications, schedules and technical documentation
• Maintaining high standards of design quality, consistency and technical accuracy
• Coordinating effectively with architects, engineers, ecologists, arboriculturists and other specialists
• Acting as a key technical point of contact for clients and consultants
• Leading project meetings and coordinating follow-up actions
• Undertaking and overseeing site surveys, site visits and monitoring works on site
• Ensuring designs respond to planning policy, environmental legislation and current best practice
• Supporting project programming, delivery planning, workload management and resourcing discussions

Lead, Mentor and Inspire

This role is about more than delivering excellent projects. You’ll also play an important role in supporting the people around you.

You’ll provide technical leadership and guidance to Landscape Architects and Assistant Landscape Architects, reviewing their work, sharing your experience and helping colleagues develop their skills and confidence.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys collaboration, communicates openly and positively, and can bring out the best in a project team.

Sustainability is integral to the way we approach landscape architecture. As a Senior Landscape Architect, you’ll embed environmental, social and economic sustainability principles throughout your work and champion environmentally responsible design.

About You

You’ll be a highly capable and experienced Landscape Architect with the confidence to take the lead while remaining collaborative and approachable.

You will bring:

• Strong creative and strategic thinking, with the ability to work independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams
• A thorough understanding of landscape design principles, construction processes and ecological considerations
• Strong knowledge of UK planning policy, environmental regulations and relevant best practice guidance
• The ability to lead, review and coordinate complex design and technical information
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence working with clients, consultants and project teams
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Sound professional judgement and a proactive approach to problem solving and risk management
• Experience of mentoring, guiding and reviewing the work of junior colleagues
• High-level proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite, together with strong experience of Keyscape, SketchUp and Microsoft Office
• A full UK driving licence for site visits and client meetings.
