ONE Creative Environments is offering a FREE ‘Lockdown Design Service’ for essential keyworker sector projects.
The multidisciplinary design practice, which has all of the essential professional disciplines in-house, is offering free consultations and high-level design/feasibility studies as a ‘Lockdown Design Service’ for new keyworker sector projects. These include the NHS, technology, pharmaceutical, education, distribution and industrial food sectors in a bid to help assist the U.K.’s national recovery response to COVID-19.
The company is experienced across all these sectors and has worked on over £600m healthcare projects over the last decade including a recent NHS rapid pace project (delivered in just 3 weeks from inception to handover) for a new emergency triage facility urgently required in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. ONE has designed a range of educational and industrial/commercial facilities, which currently includes a £22m food processing plant, a multi-temperate warehouse and even a recently completed toilet roll factory!
With projects 8,000 miles away in the Falkland Islands, as well as across the U.K., the need to work digitally is a road the ONE team already know well. In the last few weeks ONE has provided virtual project handovers at practical completion, remote site meetings, as well as completing their latest ‘Virtual Mockup’ on a new London skyscraper. The Virtual Mockup is a multi-award-winning concept developed with Multiplex, delivering all the benefits of a physical mockup (and more) at less than 5% of the cost. Now ONE wants to do more to support the National effort and enable the best outcomes for the country’s recovery.
Mark Martin, Director at ONE Creative Environments, said: “We are pleased in these troubling times that we remain very busy and no staff have been furloughed. However, we are not complacent and realise that this is a challenging time for all. As a gesture of support to keyworker sector projects in the NHS, technology, pharmaceutical, education, distribution and industrial food sectors, we are offering free consultations and high-level design/feasibility studies through the lockdown period, delivered remotely.”
“NHS clients and other keyworker projects can receive free consultation, design options and evaluations on new projects from an Architect, Landscape Architect or Engineer – or all disciplines – at no cost. The intended outcome is to provide the tools needed to advance those projects that need extra support, to provide professional services to sectors where budgets are stretched and our help is needed. These types of projects need to be progressed rapidly in the current climate.”
“This goodwill gesture from ONE represents a total donation of many tens of thousands of pounds in design time and is our way of saying thank you to all of you for the amazing work your teams are doing.”
