Mark Martin, Director of ONE, will be speaking at this year’s Festival of Place about Making Inclusive Places.
The event, which was due to take place in London but is now virtual due to COVID-19, attracts a large audience every year and is aimed at city-shapers, placemakers, planners, developers, architects and investors.
Mark is speaking as part of a ‘parley’, a cross between panel discussion and question time, which will tackle the themes with audience participation and a view to forging consensus and a collective response to the greatest issues facing urban development.
Mark is passionate about making places inclusive, creating spaces that bring communities together and providing opportunities for all. Mark is consequently behind many creative and innovative designs including masterplans that set the tone for future strategic development, those which transform public places and the development of fully accessible hotels – luxury with the added benefit of care. In addition to the day job, Mark works tirelessly to promote Worcestershire and the local economy. This has included many activities such as chairing the Worcestershire LEP’s Business Board for many years and bringing greater digital connectivity to the County via supporting the 5G testbed and ultrafast broadband initiatives.
The session takes place at 9am on Friday 13 November with further details available here.
