ONE is raring to go for the MIPIM UK Summit

Posted: 1 October 2019

With MIPIM UK always a busy event for One Creative Environments (One), the team is looking forward to the new MIPIM UK Summit this month.

The exhibition, which this year takes place at Old Billingsgate Centre, London runs from 14 to 15 October 2019. The event brings together top-level real estate professionals from all over the world and investors from all asset classes to build partnerships, gain industry insight and discover outstanding projects.

One will once again be exhibiting, however, this year the team will also be speaking as part of the main event.

On the first day, Directors Mark Martin and James Lawrence will present on one of the grand challenges outlined in the governments’ emerging industrial strategy – the aging population. They will discuss how the prospect of longer lives will create new demands for technologies, products and services including new care technologies, new housing models and innovative health and leisure solutions. They will also outline how designers will have to ensure their buildings and environments can adapt and address this challenge. The presentation will run from 3:20-3:25pm and following this session, the team will host a drinks reception on their stand (Pod 5).

On the second day, Mark Martin will chair “The climate change debate, sustainable development and carbon neutral cities” – a vital topic for the industry. Mark has been a landscape architect for 30 years and is chair of the Business Board for the Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership. Having worked on a range of prestigious global projects, Mark leads a team which provides a resilient and sustainable landscape-led approach to masterplanning and design. As part of the multidisciplinary company, these specialists can work alongside architects and engineers from the project’s outset to maximise its green credentials. Further details about Mark and the debate is available here.

Further details about the MIPIM UK Summit is available at www.mipimuk.co.uk If you are visiting, please do come and meet One’s team on Pod 5 and talk to us about your project.
