ONE’s mechanical and electrical engineers were commissioned for the conversion of a historic building, the Old Fire Station in Worcester, into a luxury residential development with a retail unit.

Project Overview

The Old Fire Station, which is in a prime city centre location in Worcester, has been sensitively regenerated into a luxury development of one, two and three bedroom apartments with a private roof top garden for residents to enjoy panoramic views as well as a retail unit.

ONE’s M & E engineers were part of the team that repurposed this redundant building by providing a low carbon solution.

They extracted the clients’ brief, provided the tender documentation and designed a fully compliant solution. The solution included low energy LED lighting, heating, power, security, life safety (fire), Electric Vehicle charging points and Photovoltaic panels.

ONE’s M & E team remained client side to ensure quality and compliance in the delivery, with the first residents moving in before Christmas 2022.
